Windows Live Mail was included only with Windows operating systems starting with Windows 7. If your computer is not running Windows 7, please refer to the list of email programs to see some popular e-mail programs compatible with your operating system.
Manually configure email Windows 10
1. Open Windows Live Mail and click “Add e-mail account” from the left-hand side.
2. Enter your E-mail address, Password, Your Name and check the box for Remember password if you do not want to enter your e-mail account's password every time you check for send mail. When you are finished, click on the Next button.
3. Select POP3 from the drop-down box.
- Enter pop.1and1.com as the Incoming server address.
- Check the box for This server requires a secure connection (SSL) and ensure that the Incoming server port is set to 995.
- sure that Clear text authentication is selected from the drop-down menus
- Enter your full 1&1 e-mail address in the text box for Login ID (if different from e-mail address).
- Enter smtp.1and1.com in the text box for Outgoing Server.
- Click the box for This server requires a secure connection (SSL) and ensure that the Outgoing server port is set to 587.
- Check the box for My outgoing server requires authentication.
- When finished, click the Next button.
4. Click the Finish button.
5. Setup is complete You will see your account on the left-hand side of the Windows Live Mail window.
